Genoa, Parole Spalancate, June 23

Earlier this June, Martin Solotruk travelled to Genoa, Italy, to take part at Genoa International Poetry Festival, Parole Spalancate, the oldest and most prominent poetry festival in Italy. There, he made an invited reading in Palazzo Ducale as a special guest of the event, along with a number of established poets, including Sonnet Mondal of India. At the festival, Mr. Solotruk also presented and discussed Versopolis Platform possibilities, including Slovak poets featured in the Platform database, with international partners, authors and cultural managers. The visit, that was supported by the Slovak Arts Council using public funding, materially contributed to an enhanced reflection of the contemporary Slovak poetry amongst Versopolis partners and professional public in Italy. In the image below, taken outside Palazzo Ducale, you can see Mr. Solotruk with Genoa International Poetry Festival director Claudio Pozzani (center) and Sonnet Mondal, a leading poet and festival manager of India (right).
